2012 Trinidad Ten Cane, 10 year-old, 58.3%

Bruised apple with a hint of tar. Good depth. The nose opens up with overripe plum, earthy smoky notes followed by traces of autumnal berries. A nice burst of ripe berry fruit, raspberry and blackcurrant come to mind. The mouthfeel is jammy with some tarriness and layers out well as the fruit lingers, dried by a little red grape tannin.
