2022 Domaine Peiriére, Réserve Syrah

Fresh herbal aromas with mint and parsley precede more fruit flavours on the palate. Medium bodied with a bit more restraint and linear structure than previous vintages. Syrah vines are planted along the banks of the Canal du Midi near the Fontfille lock. The grapes were vinified in two different ways, undergoing a traditional vinification and a more Burgundian one with punching down of the cap two to three times a day.
