(Left) 2003 Bunnahabhain, 15-year-old, 46% (Php 8,700) Bunnahabhain, meaning 'mouth of the river,' is reached through a winding route off the road to Port Askaig. It is characterized as "the Islay whisky without the Islay flavor" since it is less peaty than other Islay malts and has a pale colour due to the spring water being extracted before it passes "over and through" the well-known Islay malt. (Right) 2006 Girvan, 12-year-old, 46% (Php 3,400) Girvan Distillery is a lowland grain whisky distillery in the Scottish county of South Ayrshire. Girvan is one of Scotland's major whiskey production plants and is named after the town where it is located. Girvan opened in 1963 with the installation of its first Coffey still, which was commemorated with its first official bottling within nine months. (Left) 2010 Auchroisk, 9-year-old, 61% (Php 4,800) Auchroisk Distillery is a Speyside whiskey distillery in Banffshire, Scotland. It was founded after Dorie's Well was discovered and determined to contain water identical to the Glen Spey distillery's water. The water from the well was used leading to the start of construction of the Auchroisk distillery in 1972 to create single malt whiskies. Read more
 
(Right) 2008 Benriach, 10-year-old, 46% (Php 3,500) John Duff founded the Benriach distillery in 1898 on the grounds of Riach estate in Speyside's north. Only been producing bottlings since 1994, after being closed for most of the twentieth century. Despite its brief existence, Benriach has kept faithful to its experimental roots and has expanded significantly in the previous 20 years. Read more
(Left) 2006 Benrinnes, 10-year-old, 46% (Php 4,700) The first Benrinnes distillery was located about a mile southeast of the current distillery. In 1826, Peter McKenzie erected a new distillery on the Whitehouse Farm, and in 1835, a new distillery was built on the slope of its namesake. Benrinnes gets its water from mountain springs, specifically the Rowantree and Scurran Burns. Read more

(Right) 2007 Craigellachie, 9-year-old, 46% (Php 4,600) Craigellachie was not generally accessible as a single malt until 2014, when the distillery's owner, John Dewar & Sons, released expressions to significant acclaim. The distillery was founded by Alexander Edward, in collaboration with 'Restless' Peter Mackie, proprietor of Lagavulin Distillery and the famed White Horse blended Scotch. (Left) 1995 Glen Grant, 22-year-old, 49.2% (Php 13,000) Glen Grant was formed in 1840 and is widely regarded as one of the best single malt whiskies. Glen Grant is a typical Speyside malt that comes in a variety of flavours, from the well-known younger variants to the sophisticated and fashionable single vintage malts. Read more

(Right) 2007 Glen Moray, 9-year-old, 57% (Php 5,400) Glen Moray was created on the site of the West Brewery on the banks of the River Lossie, west of Elgin. The distillery was the first to use white wine finishes, producing a Chardonnay finish and two Chenin Blanc finishes in 1999. The majority of Glen Moray whiskey has traditionally been utilised in blended Scotch. Read more
(Left) 1997 Ben Nevis, 20 year-old, 54.6% (Php 12,600) Ben Nevis is located near the base of Scotland's tallest peak. It is a coastal distillery in the Western Highlands that gets its water from the Allt a'Mhuilinn, which comes from two ponds up the mountain, Coire Leis and Coire na'Ciste. Read more

(Right) 1993 Tullibardine, 26 year-old, 48.9% (16,800) The Tullibardine whiskey distillery was established in 1949 on the site of a historic brewery that is supposed to have made ale for King James IV's coronation in 1488. The brewery itself dates from the 12th century, the location has a lengthy history of brewing and distilling. Read more
