“Dark and dense but very alluring, with a tease of sweet bay leaf and hints of Valrhona chocolate leading off, before the core of steeped plum, blackberry and cassis flavors roll through with authority. The finish growls with dark earth, sweet tobacco and warmed black currant reduction notes, which give this an old-school edge, though the structure is very polished in the end. A large wine.
