Castilla y Léon encompasses some of Spain’s most memorable vistas, from its wild mountain ranges and sprawling plains to historic cities like Segovia and Salamanca. Ribera del Duero is Castilla y Léon’s most renowned wine region, making one of the top Tempranillo wines in the world.
Castilla-La Mancha and Extremadura are the overarching regions that contain most of the Meseta. IGP, Indicación Geográfica Protegida, wines are the basic wines in the area. There are less regulations for IGP wines, so you will also find unique blends of grape varieties. Most of these wines clock in at great low values and, for the price, they are delicious.
