Sustainable: Casa di Monte

The Casa di Monte Farm is a farm of about 80 hectares owned by the Simoncini family for five generations and managed directly by the owners. Its hilly terrain, located between 200 and 350 m asl, is particularly suitable for the cultivation of vines and olive trees. With its 34 hectares of vineyards located in the municipality of Montespertoli and in that of San Cascinano in Val di Pesa, wine production is the main business resource.

Over the last few years the company has used most of the resources for the renewal of the company's viticultural heritage with particular attention to native vines and a technological modernization of the winemaking and aging cellars in order to always reach a quality level of its wines - while introducing sustainable farming methods to carefully grow olives and grapes.

Tradition and innovation come together, both in the vineyard and in the cellar, to obtain wines with character, genuine and typical. The cultivation of the olive tree extends over an area of 7 hectares with about 2000 olive trees that produce an excellent quality extra virgin olive oil, obtained from olives harvested by hand through the traditional "picking" carried out at the right point of ripeness to enhance the aromas and flavors. The pressing of the olives harvested the same day are cold pressed which allows the maintenance of the organoleptic properties.
